Post PC Launch Report and Future Plans
Hello! This is Kazuya, the Executive Producer for GUNDAM EVOLUTION.
Firstly, I'd like to apologize as it's been a while since we've provided a Developer Blog update.
I’d also like to apologize for any heavy traffic issues you may have experienced when the game initially launched.
A week after the launch of GUNDAM EVOLUTION on 9/21/2022 on PC, we have had a million players, going far beyond our expectations. And for that, I would like to thank you all on behalf of the development and management teams.
We have been continually discussing and adjusting things in game to address various issues since the launch, and I'd like to give you all a situation report and talk about our plans for the future.
Issues & Solutions for PC
Unit Balance Changes
We plan to periodically perform balance patches based on gameplay data and your feedback, the first which of will be implemented during the maintenance on 10/26
We will be going over the details of the patch in a maintenance notice releasing on 10/21.
Improving Ranked Matches
we have already announced, we have taken temporary measures to improve
ranked matches. However, we recognize that there are still various problems
that must be addressed.
We will continue to observe user distributions in each rank, the win/loss rates of queuing solo players and players in parties, the matchmaking situation, and the gameplay in parties with varying player ranks, and we will continue to make improvements based on our findings.
Addressing Current Confirmed Issues

Many of these problems will be addressed during the 10/26 maintenance, including the following:
- Bug where units can hover indefinitely under specific circumstances
- Instances when a unit’s Main Weapon becomes unusable
- Cases where the units designated for certain challenges cannot complete them
- Issues where players cannot reconnect after being disconnected from a Custom Match
- Minor fixes to in-game text
We will continue to investigate the network error (Error Code "0") that forces the application to close. We apologize to players that have been inconvenienced, and we ask for your continued patience as we work to resolve these issues.
We are also investigating the lag problem some players have experienced in matches. We will keep you updated on any fixes implemented.
Gearing Up for Season 2 in December
We would like to share as many details as we can about our plans ahead of Season 2.
"Season 1 Sortie" October Update
- To be implemented on 10/26.
- Unit balance changes & improvements to matchmaking
- Renewed Supply Pod items.
- Bug fixes.
- Expanding areas of service to Guam and parts of Europe.
Start of "Season 2"
- The new season is scheduled to begin on 11/29 for PC and 11/30 for consoles.
(We plan to release more information on Season 2 around 11/17.)
- Console version service launch.
- New units, new maps, new functions.
- Further expansion of service area.
To Players Looking Forward to the Console Version
For all those waiting to play on the PlayStation®5 / PlayStation®4 / Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One, the game will be made available as stated above on 11/30.
Items that were available in Season 1 will be included in Season 2 and onward (though the conditions and timing for acquiring these items may differ from those for the PC version).
Please note that some features added to the PC version may also be delayed.

We are doing our best to make improvements to the game, but it will continue to take time for the management and development teams to create a better gameplay environment for all.
